White & Black Military Blazer Sakura

In Japanese Sakura literally means “cherry blossom” and is associated with the fleeting nature of beauty but also with rebirth and new opportunities. Nieves Alvarez in her first capsule collection for The Extreme Collection was clear that she wanted to design a military style blazer rescuing the double soutache technique, an ancient artisan technique that is not easy to work with. It is a painstaking, patient, invisible stitch work that requires skill and lots and lots of practice. In the 18th century, it was already used in royal costumes and Marie Antoinette was a fan of this type of embroidery. This striking military style jacket with mao collar is made in our star fabric, super crepe, used in the big fashion houses she is so used to working with. Be warned: not for the timid.
